Dr.Wind is Paolo Migliorini, italian, windsurfer since 1992. After traveling to the top windy spots around the world and competed with the best windsurfers, he chose this corner of paradise to call home.

Born in 1973 in Vicenza, Italy, Paolo discovered windsurfing a little late, when he was 19. Before, he was a good basketball player, but he felt the need of practicing open air sports, to have a deeper contact with nature and to travel and discover the world.

So during his college years, he became very passionate about windsurfing, training and traveling to the windiest spots of the world. In just 2-3 years he reached a pro level and he started competing, first in racing and wave, then in the new freestyle discipline.

In 1997 he did the first World Cup (PWA) freestyle competition, the “King of the lake” in lake Garda Italy, which became a classic in the sport. In following years he did some other World Cups.

Some good results came as some top 10 in the world and some national wins. The latest and more important was the “Red Bull Assalto a Nordest” in 2005, a jumping contest in extreme conditions in his home spot Chioggia in which he won performing the best jump: a perfect push loop.

Since 2006, Paolo, lives in Sao Miguel do Gostoso – Brazil, developing and promoting watersports in this land blessed by the wind.

In 2019 he tries wingfoiling for the first time and this new sport totally blows his mind! He became one of the pioneers and got back competing, grabbing some great results. The last one in the 2022 World cup racing in Jericoacoara where he got the first place in the grand master division.
